Series of the Week: "Pledge Drive"

Public radio is alive and doing very well in the Great Lakes & Upper South.  The region is home to a number of major stations and not just one, but two, of the three major producers and distributors of programming for public radio stations.  Shows like Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, Sounds Opinions, This American Life, Michael Feldman's Whad'Ya Know?, and of course the granddaddy of them all, A Prairie Home Companion, entertain millions of loyal listeners, pump tourism dollars into their local economies, and provide training for a new generation of radio talent.
